IDĖJOS MIESTUI - IDEAS FOR CITY
IDEAS FOR CITY (IFC) is an innovative non profit organization that brings complex solutions and positive change to urban environment. IFC acts as a collaborative platform for professional community of urban planners, architects, product and service developers, marketing and communication, IT specialists. IFC has a tight partnership with international academic community, local and international businesses, municipalities, other NGO’s and professional networks.
IFC has accomplished various projects related to strategic planning, placemaking, community engagement, service design, and art/cultural processes. IFC is permanently engaged in expert activities, consulting, design solutions, professional training and events.
The mindset of IFC members is based on design thinking approach and creative collaboration.
New ideas are implemented through public buzz and creation of social content which gathers targeted audience.
Permanent initiatives:
MAZGAS – (KNOT) a Klaipeda startup community aiming to create a closer community of creative and entrepreneurial people in Klaipėda that would help foster collaboration, as well as retain young, talented and active people in the city.
GLOBAL SERVICE/ SUSTAINABILITY/ GOV JAMS – managing local creative sessions for growing the field of service design and customer experience.
KAIMYNŲ IŠKYLA (Neighbours picnic) – street festival which focuses on building local communities and empowers neighbourhoods to become livable and attractive places to live in.
IŠJUDINKIME AKMENIS (“Move the stones”) – creative forum in Akmenė city which focuses on cultural education and creative industries.

Partnerships:
KU ADD lab – design and research laboratory, focused on urban development and landscape architecture, Klaipėda University.
LCC innovation lab – a community of students, researchers and practitioners working collaboratively on service innovations that matter. Special attention is paid to social innovation and public service innovation.Factory of Culture: co-working/co-living hub – a project, focused on attracting young professionals and freelancers to work and live in Klaipėda city. This Project was generated together with agents of Invest Lithuania.
THINK TANK TRANSBALTIC – an interdisciplinary collaboration platform in harbour cities around the Baltic Sea. TTT projects aim to generate urban and regional development approaches by combining hard and soft professions, disciplines and cultural methods.
